Observation and Analysis of Lake Park, GA Pool Inspection
Our inspector visited the above reverenced property in Lake Park, GA and made the following observations:
- The slide and ladder were separated from the pool and were against a wall.
- There was no indication in the concrete decking that the slide had been anchored in the ground.
- The pool was full of water.
- The water in the pool was green and full of debris, trash and algae. The bottom of the pool was not visible.
- The motor was missing from the pump.
- The equipment was put together in a haphazard fashion, but there was no sign of storm damage.
- The pool was on the same property (and next to) a house that had part of its roof blown off.
Lake Park, GA Pool Inspection: Cause of Loss
Our inspector commented on the following aspect of the pool inspection:
- The pool did not need to be replaced.
- The water needed to be cleaned before a definite determination could be made about the condition of the liner. However, the liner was holding water and there was no visible damage. If a tear existed in the liner the pool would not be full.
- The liner looks to have been replaced sometime in the last 5 years.
Our inspector determined that the cause of loss from the storm was in the form of debris. The pool had been sitting for the last year which had worsened the quality of the water. The pool did not need to be replaced, and the only damage was sustained from owner negligence in allowing the pool to sit for a year without filtration or water treatment.
Repair Estimates for Lake Park Pool
Because the damage to the pool was minimal, our inspector estimated that to clean the pool and get it in fine working condition would only cost around $600.00. This is nominal compared to the cost of replacing the pool, which could cost $50,000 or more.
